happy moment #4

haveing a wonderful co-worker change this tire & haveing it fixed for free

blankets i have done & am working on

i had a contest recently on my other blog & this was the prize my sister won it i have always loved granny square blankets im so happy i know how to do them i love the flowers on this blanket they are called phsycidelic flowers i made them to see how easy/hard they were & i was going to use them for something else but they worked for this i also like the fact that i decided to use bottns as well i need to place bottons better on blankets

i also made this one & gave it to my mom for her birthday last week i used the same pattern for this blanket as the one above (there are differnt ways you can make a granny square blanket) i love the fact you can use the same pattern use differnt colors & it will look different

this is what im working on now im useing all this yarn & more the black is the main color the rest of them are contrasting colors

i need to make 45 squares in the yellow pink red blue purple green & orange thats 315 squares all together i will then sew them all together in a fun pattern they are small squares as you can see

i have my work cut out for me with this blamket im defintly keeping it for me its going to be tons of work

i was reading linz sews she posted her happy moment she read about here so here is my happy
moment for the week it was shared with my mom lenny amanda ike madi becca madi had a school play she did excellent we went to u-swirl

my trip to the strip

the only reasons i went to the strip is because i wanted a picture of the tiffany sign when you grow up in vegas YOU NEVER GO TO THE STRIP YOU AVOID IT AT ALL COSTS & got took a few more pictures on my walk there (i also wanted to go to the atrium at the bilagio which happens to be the hotel with the tiffany store) i parked at treasure island because its just easy you can get to the parking garage with out driving on the strip at all its nice & i walked down the strip

i liked the trearsrue island ships better before now they dont look as good

apparently there are several ducks swimming around the volcano at the mirage but today this is the only one i saw (its right smack dab in the middle)

yes i do like it it turned out nice im glad i finished it im still not sold on if i want to keep it or not i have a few ideas of what to do with it in the near future so we shall see
