on sunday morning we got up and went to temple square again we started with the music & spoken word we got to see the mormon tabernacle choir live it was my first time to see them live it was AMAZING since it was memorial day weekend they sang patriotic songs then after the broadcast there was an 86 year old man who was on the beaches of normandy for d-day (i think) he took his trumpet with him to the war he played danny boy for us with his trumpet that was amazing as well
then we went to sacerment meeting in the joseph smith memorial building it was great
we then past the this is the place statue when the pioneers got to salt lake city brigham young was prophet then he went up to the top of the mountain looked over the land and said this is the place and they built the salt lake city temple it took 40 years to build
the friday of memorial day the opened a new display in the visitor center it is a 1/32 scale model of the salt lake temple they have a cut away part of it so everyone cane see the rooms in the temple here are some of the pics sorry the first one is blurry
here are the rooms in the temple
so i do know the rooms of the above picture but im not to sure what the below rooms are i have never been in the salt lake temple im assuming that its just halls and stairs to get from one place to the next
the other side of the model
i LOVE this picture because i took it of the model & there is the reflection of the real temple in it
we then went back to the other visitor center to the christes we took pictures of the room with the universes it is awesome
me with the christes
temple square was worth being smashed in the back of a mustang for hours on end i absolutely love this place cant wait to go back if anyone of you have the chance to go take that chance well worth the trip & its free
